Deconstructing the Dolce and Gabbana, Givenchy, and Gaultier “religious” collections: Offensive or an expression of faith?
Findings and conclusion:
There is something very special about these three collection, the designs featured are of proportions and characteristics that could be passed as “modest” clothing. In addition I consider that the inspiration and representation of the religious themes was carried with the appropriate respect. Art and creativity is visible, however do no ends being grotesque of offensive. I believe that these collections successfully accomplish to represents faith in garments in an artistic and respectful way, showing admiration for previous religious art.
